I have a cold and sore throat. I wasn't sure if I should go running. I did.
I don't like the tempo running (running fast then slow) I didn't do it last week and I was determined not to find a excuse not to go this week. The tempo run is only on one day a week, usually Tuesday and it is meant to strengthen the muscles.
So off I set, in the rain. The first part was a warm up of 1.5 miles jog then the real running of 800m fast followed by 200m jog, repeated 8 times. The first 3 800m were under 7 minutes, a very fast time for me. I was over 7 minutes for most of the others but never over 7.5 minutes and actually went under 7 again at one point. And another 1.5 mile jog to finish.
Overall I'm glad I went. But I'm glad it's just a 9 mile run tomorrow.
