So Christmas is over and a new year has begun and I have gained about half a stone in weight, mainly due to seasonal chocolate eating.
I also did no running during the holiday period as I was having too much of a good time. (Thank you Vero!)
It is 20 weeks till the Edinburgh Marathon and time I got my running shoes back on.
Most training programs for a marathon are 16 weeks and many have started now in preparation for the London Marathon. Edinburgh is a month later.
I have decided to do the first 4 weeks twice and started on Monday.
This program involves running 5 days a week and has me running 4miles, then 5, 3, 4 and finally on Sunday 10miles.
It gets more difficult as the weeks go on!
I am planning to train at a faster pace then I currently think I can manage but one where, if the training gets too difficult I can always change and train at a more comfortable pace.
The real work will start in a months time and I hope you can join me.
I plan to blog as often as I can, weekly at least. Or maybe just weakly.
And don't forget to sponsor me. I already have £155 thanks to some wonderfully kind people.
can you tweet the sponsorship link for me? thankyou fluffy britches!
